I was born in Reggio Calabria (Southern Italy) on September 6, 1957.

Graduated in Medicine in 1982, specialized in General Pathology,

master in Neurology and in Emergency Surgery and Major Emergencies.

I live in Palmi, 40 km north of Reggio Calabria.

Since 1989 I have worked in emergency and since 2018 in hyperbaric medicine.

I also deal with simulation in emergency medicine.

Married in 1989, I have 2 children and a nephew

(the eldest son anesthetist, the youngest medical student).

My wife is a physical education teacher.

I have practiced skiing, scuba diving, soccer and Olympic wrestling.
